American Dream Survey
Trulia’s semiannual American Dream survey tracks national consumer attitudes towards pursuing homeownership in light of current market conditions. This ongoing survey conducted by Harris Interactive® on behalf of Trulia started in 2008.
Harris Interactive conducts this survey online within the United States via its QuickQuery(SM) online omnibus service over a three day period. The sample size exceeds 2,000 U.S. adults aged 18 or older, but varies slightly quarter to quarter. Survey respondents include both homeowners and renters. Figures for age, sex, race/ethnicity, education, region and household income were weighted where necessary to bring them into line with their actual proportions in the population. Propensity score weighting was used to adjust for respondents’ propensity to be online. This online survey is not based on a probability sample and therefore no estimate of theoretical sampling error can be calculated.
